What is a Learning Disability?

A learning disability is a neurological disorder. It results from a difference in the way a person’s brain is “wired.” Children with learning disabilities are as smart or smarter than their peers. These issues require specific interventions to assure a person’s success throughout school and beyond.

Why Educational Therapy? 

When you have a child who exhibits learning challenges and has a difficult time in school, an educational therapist is able to identify areas of weaknesses and strengths. We develop intensive individual interventions specifically designed to remediate the learning challenges. Over time, we work one-on-one to ensure your child’s academic success. Parents often feel overwhelmed and alone. A professional educational therapist is highly trained to support the family and the child so that success is achieved. I love working with children and families to make the road easier to maneuver, which helps the family, as a whole, feel more supported.
