Success Stories

“Wendy began working with our daughter when she was in second grade as we had noticed her difficulties with reading and writing. Due to Wendy's ability, skill, and knowledge, she was able to diagnose our daughter's dyslexia and auditory processing issues even before she was evaluated by a Psychologist. Wendy worked with her for 4 years, "bridging the gap" as Wendy would say, each week building up our daughter's confidence due to Wendy's exceptional level of educational therapy skills. Each and every session Wendy was kind, motivating, encouraging and supportive to our daughter. Wendy also made their sessions fun with games and a surprise treat at the end of each session! Wendy worked with her extensively on spelling and writing skills as well, giving her tools that she still uses to this day. Our daughter is almost 15 years old and a freshman in high school now. She is an excellent student and independent learner, using Wendy's techniques that enriched her as a student. Yet, more importantly, due to working with Wendy, she has the confidence and passion to learn that Wendy says is the key to a successful student. Wendy is an exceptional educational therapist, and our daughter would not be the student she is today without having worked with her. We are so truly grateful to Wendy for all she has given our daughter and our family!”

“We just got Lionel’s Diebels test results, and he is reading above grade level! Thank you so much for your help. His confidence is awesome, and he now LOVES to read. He spends lots of free time just sitting in his favorite chair and reading books. It is wonderful. In addition, we are going to be starting work with a speech therapist next week. We are doing an intake and then we will be having regular sessions to help address the speech issues that you identified and our school confirmed. You have been an immense resource for Lionel and our family and we appreciate all you have helped him with.”

“Wendy has done amazing work with my son. He was comfortable and engaged from the minute they met. In only a few short months, we have seen vast improvements in his confidence, resourcefulness, and overall ability to read and write. Wendy has had to do all the lessons virtually due to Covid and has managed to keep my son incredibly motivated and excited for each meeting. He loves all the learning games and online tools that she has introduced. This has been a lovely addition to his curriculum supporting his challenges especially in reading. It has helped immensely.”

We’ve seen immense improvement in our son’s reading, writing and self-confidence since working with Wendy. She has also been a fantastic advocate in helping us secure additional support and resources at our public school.”

“Wendy is easy to work with, caring, and readily and systematically implements my recommendations from neuropsychological testing. She is knowledgeable and flexible and able to integrate new intervention strategies as students make progress.”

“Wendy has aided my learning abilities tremendously. Most people do not know the struggles I had with reading when I was younger, since I now have a reputation as a bookworm. However, when I was little I really struggled. I would flip from page to page pretending I understood the words. After my parents and teachers noticed how difficult the work was for me, I started working with Wendy. Every week she and I would work together on reading exercises, sounding out words, and building my skills. Most importantly, my confidence grew, learning became easier, and I started to put more effort into my lessons. Wendy helped me learn in ways that were right for me. Even though it was hard, I loved working with Wendy, and our sessions were even fun. We worked from 2nd-5th grades, and now that I am in high school, I have a hard-working mindset that is helping me to succeed. Wendy was a guide and mentor for me in my younger years, and I am so grateful.”
